Now That You Asked

In the aftermath of George Floyd's murder, a black employee at Procter & Gamble found herself struggling to answer when her colleagues asked how she was doing. There was so much that she wanted to say and share, but the physical, emotional, and mental toll was becoming too much.

As a result, she reached out to the agency to see if we could help her and other black employees share their stories of systemic racism and how it feels to be black in America.

Working as story facilitators, we found a brilliant documentary filmmaker, Ocean Vashti Jude, and helped produce 12 beautiful but heart wrenching stories. From there we created a microsite for employees to watch, learn, and act.

Since our initial stories were launched, we have helped produce over 30 more interviews with black employees and recently created an equally powerful project for P&G's AAPI employees for Asian Heritage Month.
